We get a lot of questions about our nut products. Here's some answers:

Where do your nuts come from?

Our nuts come from all over the world! Cashews come from India, pistachios from California, Filberts from Turkey, and pecans from Texas. Our almonds and walnuts come from California, too, and Brazils from Peru. Pine Nuts are from China, macadamias from Brazil, and peanuts come from Virginia.

Roasting Ricci Nuts What are your nuts cooked in?

We cook our nuts in 100% pure peanut oil only.

What does raw or blanched mean?

"Raw" means the nuts are not roasted. They are just as if the came off a tree or from the ground -- they are totally natural and unprocessed.

Are there any additives in your nut products?

No: we use no additives at all.

Kosher symbol Are your nuts kosher?

Yes: all nuts are Kosher.

Are nuts healthy to eat?

Yes! They are a good source of protein and vitamins. A handful of peanuts have the same positive effect on the heart as a glass of wine daily. One handful of almonds gives you the daily requirement of Vitamin E. Walnuts and peanuts are said to have cholesterol-lowering effects. How long can nuts be stored? What's the best way to store them?

The best way to store nuts is in an airtight container, such as Tupperware. This container should be kept in the refrigerator or in a cool place. Freezing roasted nuts can take away the full flavor of the nuts. Shelf life is no longer than 4 weeks.

What's the difference between a Stuart pecan and a medium pecan 1/2?

Stuart is the technical term given to a large, mammoth pecan. Medium pecan 1/2 is the first size smaller than a Stuart pecan.

Do nuts contain cholesterol?

No. Nuts do not contain any cholesterol.
