About Ricci & Company
At family-owned Ricci & Company, our goal is always to provide you with high-quality nuts and top-notch customer service.
As the oldest wholesale nut business in the Midwest, our passion for quality, service,
and consistency comes from the family values that built our company.
Founded in Chicago in 1919 by three Italian immigrants, John (Giovanni) Marsalli,
Luigi Franceschi, and Angelo Ricci, our company remains in its original building at 162 W. Superior Street.
In the 1950s John Marsalli bought his partners' shares in the business, but decided to keep the original name of Ricci & Company.
Now in its fourth generation, Ricci & Company has been entirely family-owned and managed by the Marsalli family and descendants. The original owners, John Marsalli and his wife, Leonetta, passed the business on to their son, Tino Marsalli, and his wife, Nila Bucchianeri Marsalli. Tino died in 2000, and now Nila serves as President of our company. Currently four other family members work with Nila to run the company; they include her daughters, Denise Rebollo and Joanne Colatorti, her son-in-law, Alejandro Rebollo, and her grandson, Chris Rebollo.
